In this video, let's see how to change the engine oil and filter on the Fiat Punto MK2: we open the oil filler cap and add a cleaner along with the used oil to improve its drainage. We raise the front of the vehicle to access the drain bolt, under which we place a large container to collect the used oil, which we will then dispose of properly at an authorized center. We replace the bolt with a new one and close it, then position the container under the filter and loosen it, allowing the oil to drain into the container. We take the new filter and lubricate the gasket with some new oil, then put it back in place. We lower the car and refill the oil with the type recommended by the manufacturer, up to 90% of the capacity. We insert the dipstick and measure again, then top up if necessary. We close the cap and let the engine run at idle for a few minutes, then we measure the level again.
