Operation: How to replace diesel filter on Fiat Punto Evo

The replacement of the diesel filter on this model of car is the same for many other models of the Turin-based company; this is the classic sealed filter with the two inlet and outlet ducts and the sensor that checks for the presence of water in the diesel fuel applied to the bottom of the filter itself; start by disconnecting the battery and then intercept the filter seat which is near the passenger side shock absorber dome; disconnect the pipes by pressing on the relative safety, unscrew the screw of the filter support clamp and extract it from its seat by disconnecting the sensor socket; empty the old filter of residual diesel oil, unscrew the sensor and apply it to the new filter proceeding backwards to fix it; connect the battery and turn the ignition on several times before starting the engine to fill the filter.
