Replacing the Air Intake Hose

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

The flexible rubber hose connecting the intake duct to the air filter box is secured at both ends with two metal clips: to replace it, disconnect the vacuum hose (press the two plastic squares on the side to release the lock), loosen the clips, and also remove the air filter box to gain more working space. Then, fit the clips onto the new hose, aligning the notch to prevent rotation, attach it to the intake duct, reconnect the vacuum hose, reposition the air filter box, and tighten both the clips and the securing pins of the air filter box.
