To replace the front shock absorber on a Ford F-350, lift the vehicle with a jack so that the corresponding wheel is off the ground. Next, loosen all the bolts that secure the wheel to its hub and completely remove it. With the wheel removed, the shock absorber will be accessible and can be taken out by unscrewing its mounting bolts at the bottom and top. The new shock absorber can then be positioned and secured with the appropriate screws, reinstalling the previously removed wheel.
