To reset the Service light on a Ford Focus, turn on the ignition by inserting the key into the ignition switch and turning it. Once the dashboard is on, press and hold the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for about thirty seconds. While holding the pedals, a message will appear confirming the reset of the maintenance interval. You can verify that the reset was successful by turning off and then restarting the ignition.
