Replacing the air filter in a Ford Flex is a very simple and quick task. First, wait for the engine to cool completely for safety. Then, open the hood and locate the air filter box in front of the battery. Next, unlock the two metal clips along the front edge, disconnect the sensor connector if the cable is too short, and lift the top half of the airbox. At this point, you can remove the old filter, clean the inside of the housing, and install the new one.
