Replacing Windshield Wiper Blades

Replacing windshield wiper blades is a typical DIY maintenance task usually performed at the change of seasons. First, select the new blades appropriately, checking the length (often the driver's side is slightly longer) and the type of attachment to the wiper arm: in this case, the blade is fixed to the arm via a side pin that fits into a specific hole on the blade itself. Lift the wiper arm, rotate the blade 90 degrees, and pull it out sideways. Then insert the new blade, fold it forward, and lower the arm.
