How to Repair the Lock on the Ford Fiesta MKVII

In this video, discover how to repair the lock on the Ford Fiesta MKVII: you will need a standard cross-head screwdriver to remove the screw inside the handle, then remove the three T30 screws located on the door's thickness and the two T25 screws under the large handle. Once done, you can take off the door panel starting from the top corner. Underneath, you will find two electrical connectors that must be disconnected to remove the panel. Next, you will find eight screws holding the underlying panel. Keep all the screws you remove to avoid losing them. You will find two bolts holding the glass: before removing them, secure the glass with tape to prevent it from falling. Be careful of the electrical wire running through the door that needs to be disconnected. Along with the panel, the lock will also come off, which you can comfortably remove by unscrewing the T10 screws and then prying it out of its seat. You can then see what’s inside the mechanism and notice that a spring is missing, the one needed to keep the door closed. You can insert it yourself at minimal cost, although the work to put it back in place requires some skill. Once this is done, simply put everything back in place patiently and methodically, and it will all be completed at a negligible expense.
