Operation: How to repair the lock of the Ford Fiesta MKVII

In this video, we will see how to repair the lock of the Ford Fiesta MKVII. We will need a regular crosshead screwdriver to remove the screw inside the handle. Then, we will have to remove the three T30 screws on the thickness of the door and the two T25 screws under the large handle. Once this is done, it will be possible to remove the door panel starting from the upper corner. Underneath, we will find two electrical connectors that we will have to remove to disconnect the panel. We will then find eight screws holding the lower panel. Let's keep all the screws we remove aside to avoid the risk of losing them. We will find two bolts holding the glass: before removing them, let's secure the glass with tape to prevent it from falling. Let's be careful with the electrical wire that runs through the entire door and needs to be disconnected. Along with the panel, the lock will also come off, which we will comfortably disassemble by removing the T10 screws and then levering it out of its seat. We can then see what is inside the mechanism, and we see that a spring is missing, the one that would keep the door closed. We can insert it ourselves with very little expense, although putting it back in place requires some manual dexterity. Once this work is done, all that remains is to put everything back in place, with patience and method, and everything will be done at a minimal cost.
