How do you disassemble the engine of the Garelli VIP?

Disassembly of the Garelli VIP engine is carried out by first removing it from its housing, unscrewing all the bolts that secure it to its supports. After the engine has been freed from the supports and connectors connected to it, it will be possible to disassemble the cylinder and then detach the piston from the connecting rod, removing the relative locking ring. When the piston has been removed, it will be possible to detach the pedals as well, thus removing the pins that secure the protective covers of the internal components of the engine. In this way they can be disassembled and replaced.

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the motor oil in the KTM Duke 890, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, we wait for the engine to be cold enough, then we place a container underneath it, locate the two drain plug bolts and unscrew them using an 18mm socket wrench. We then let all the oil in the system drain out, open the filter housing and insert the replacement. At this point, all that's left to do is reassemble everything and pour in the new oil through the appropriate upper hole.
