The disassembly of the Garelli VIP engine block involves loosening the screws that fix the component to its housing in the center of the frame: in order to free the engine block from its seat, it will be possible to disconnect the connectors connected to it, remove the intake and exhaust manifolds and loosen the support screws. It will then be possible to proceed by unscrewing the screws that fix the cylinder head and cylinder, locating the piston inside: the latter can be released from its connecting rod in order to access the crankshaft and replace the necessary parts.
