How to Adjust the Brakes on a Geely Mk

Adjust the brakes on your Geely Mk. First, remove the rear wheels by lifting the vehicle off the ground. Your Geely has drum brakes, so the adjustment is purely mechanical. Remove the retaining clip and loosen the nut. Now, start pulling off the drum. On some vehicles, you may need to remove a screw first. If necessary, tap the drum with a hammer. The adjustment is done using this spring: While holding it, use another screwdriver to apply pressure and adjust the tension through the hole shown in the video. With the left screwdriver, slowly open or close the tension. Once it's properly adjusted, set and adjust the parking brake. After you finish adjusting and have replaced the drum, position the nut and leave space to reinstall the retaining clip. Don’t forget to double-check the clip. Reposition the cover and gently tap it to secure it. You can then reinstall the tire. Not all vehicles have the same adjustment system.
