To change the battery in the remote of a Geely MK, use a screwdriver to separate the two halves of the remote cover to see what type of battery is inside. Inside, there is a CR2032 button battery, which you can easily find for a few dollars at any convenience store or supermarket. Using the screwdriver or tweezers, remove the battery - which should be disposed of at a certified recycling center - from under the spring that holds it in place and replace it with the new one, making sure to install it in the correct polarity. Clean the contacts, especially those on the silicone housing, before reassembling the cover. Do this, close it up, and the job is complete.
