How to replace the exterior door handle on the front door of the GMC Sierra Mk2

The guide shows how to replace the exterior door handle of the GMC Sierra Mk2 front door. The first operation to perform is to disassemble the finishing piece on the mirror and the push button panel. Remove the lock lever and the panel behind the handle and remove the service light. Remove the two 7mm bolts and detach the interior door panel. Disconnect the electrical cables from the panel and lock the window glass closed. Remove the two 11 mm bolts on the top of the door and on the top of the speaker and push the window to the limit. Remove the window guide to gain access to the handle fixing bolt. Remove the three 11mm bolts and pull out the handle. Remove the control rod and the key cylinder. Fit this element on the new lock and reassemble everything in place. Check the correct functioning of the lock.
