To dismantle the engine of the Harley Davidson Sportster, first loosen the screws that secure the engine within its housing, disconnecting all relevant connectors as well. Once the engine is extracted, you can unscrew the additional screws that secure the side casings and the two cylinders: when these are removed, loosen the rings that secure the pistons to the two connecting rods, replacing them with new spare parts.

Once all necessary parts have been replaced, you can reassemble the engine.
