If you want to give your car a sporty look without going overboard, a great solution is to apply an aluminium cover to the fuel cap flap with an aeronautical effect. This will create the impression of having fixed an aluminium plate with rivets or bolts around the edge, resembling the typical configuration of motorcycle fuel caps.

You do not necessarily have to replace the flap; you can apply an adhesive cover that achieves the same effect. These are easy to find online.
