Differences Between Leasing and Buying a Hyundai I20

Regarding insurance costs, it is not specified whether these are annual costs or cover the entire leasing period (49 months) for a fair comparison. Concerning financing costs, perhaps an 8% from a captive (i.e., a brand's finance company) for a new vehicle is too high; and also: is this the nominal annual rate (TAN) or the annual percentage rate (TAEG)? (there is a significant difference). The resale price may also be debatable: on what parameters is it determined? Moving on to the leasing rate: is this rate inclusive of VAT? Certainly, if stated, it will be so; otherwise, it would be misleading advertising; the same applies to the mileage, which must be annual and not total for the 49 months. The penalty for each additional mile driven must be specified (usually €0.10 per mile: which seems little but try calculating for 10,000 extra miles).
