First, ensure you purchase a new gear knob that is perfectly compatible with your car, then take your seat in the driver's position and proceed to remove the old knob by unscrewing it counter-clockwise.

Once successfully removed, you can fit the new knob by turning it clockwise. Test its proper functioning, and you're done.
