To replace the battery in the key remote of a Hyundai i30, you need to extract the mechanical key by pressing the appropriate release button. Next, insert a small flat screwdriver or a plastic tool into the gap of the casing to carefully separate the two halves of the remote.

Once the key body is open, remove the depleted battery, taking care of the mounting direction, and insert a new battery of the same type, ensuring the correct polarity. After replacing the battery, reassemble the two parts of the casing by applying slight pressure until the clips fully engage, then reinsert the mechanical key into its slot.

Finally, it is advisable to check the correct operation of the buttons for opening, closing, and unlocking the boot.
