What to Do If the Engine Malfunction Light Comes On in a Hyundai i20?

In this video, we will see how to resolve the engine light activation on the Hyundai i20 MK1 version, with engine code D4FC-L: This light, also known as the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light), indicates a generic malfunction of a part of the engine, and only consulting the accompanying error code can tell us how to fix the fault and get the vehicle running correctly again. One of the most common errors we can read via the OBD11 reader is P0141, which corresponds to the lambda sensor behind catalyst 1, heating/open circuit: faulty wiring. The solution is to disconnect the battery, unplug the lambda sensor connectors, disconnect the speed sensor, detach the wiring, and repair it. This should take no more than 50 minutes.
