Hyundai Atos - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai Atos MK 1 - Years 1997-2008
Part: Instrument cluster
Operation: How to make the instrument panel of a Hyundai Atos MK1 fully LED.

In this video, we see how to convert the backlighting of a Hyundai Atos MK1 instrument panel to full LED. We just need to replace the backlight bulbs with LEDs. First, we need to disassemble the instrument panel, starting with the cover, which is just snapped in place. Then, we remove the screws that hold the instrument panel in place and set them aside. Now, the instrument panel is free, but there is very little space, so we need to proceed with caution. From the back of the instrument panel, we remove the bulbs. The two larger black buttons contain T10 bulbs and are used for backlighting, while the smaller ones are T5 bulbs and function as indicators. Inside, the bulbs are press-fit, so remove them delicately to avoid breaking them. LED bulbs can be found on any e-commerce website at very low prices. For example, on Ali Express, you can buy 10 T10 bulbs for 1.94 euros plus 0.84 euros for shipping, and the T5 bulbs cost 1.33 euros plus 0.54 euros for shipping, also on Ali Express (and always for 10 pieces). Before putting the dashboard back in place, it is advisable to check the functionality of each indicator light. Then, we can proceed with reassembly.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
