How to remove the external mirror of a Jeep Grand Cherokee? Use a plastic (rubber) lever to pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the plastics detach from the mirror (disconnect the power cable); this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror itself may break.

Unscrew the screws to detach the mirror cover and replace the damaged part with a new one (if necessary). Reattach the plastic clips into the mirror supports.
