How to Open the Bonnet of a Jeep Renegade

Model: Jeep Renegade 520, MK 1, BU - Years 2014-2026

To open the bonnet of a Jeep Renegade, park the vehicle and turn off the engine. From the driver's seat, locate the bonnet release lever situated in the lower left part of the dashboard, near the pedals. Pull it towards you: the bonnet will partially release from the latch. Move to the front of the vehicle and insert your hand into the gap between the bonnet and the top of the grille. Locate the secondary safety lever under the front edge of the bonnet and move it sideways to fully release the mechanism. Then lift the bonnet and keep it open using the prop rod, if provided. To close it, reposition the rod in its holder, lower the bonnet slowly, and let it drop from a small height to ensure the latch engages properly.
