Lubricating Handbrake Mechanism

Model: Jeep Cherokee XJ, MK 2 - Years 1984-2001
Part: Parking brake

When you pull the handbrake lever, a cable connected to it activates a mechanism that, through an eccentric system, engages the rear shoes, locking the rotation of the wheels. When performing maintenance on the rear brakes, it is advisable to disconnect the handbrake cable and remove the handbrake actuation mechanism to clean it thoroughly and lubricate it with grease; this ensures the system is preserved from future jamming that can also be caused by dust generated from brake wear.

Fuse Replacement on Fiat Grande Punto

Fuse replacement on the Fiat Grande Punto? Let's see where they are located. Open the door and enter the cabin, then open the glove compartment in the front dashboard (you will find the fuses there). You will also find fuses in the engine compartment: open the front bonnet and remove the cover near the battery using a plastic lever. Use pliers to disconnect the damaged fuses located in the compartment. Once this is done, insert the new fuses into the designated slots in the compartment. Close the fuse inspection box with the cover.
