To adjust the handbrake of the Jeep Cherokee, you will need to access the underside of the car: here it will be possible to find, near the rear wheels, the handbrake actuator cable. Near the end of the cable, you will be able to locate a nut that can be loosened or tightened according to your needs: loosening the nut, the handbrake lever will become softer and have a greater travel. Conversely, by tightening the nut, you will notice that the travel of the handbrake lever will be reduced and the lever will feel heavier.
