How to replace the engine control unit on the Jeep Cherokee?

Model: Jeep Cherokee XJ, MK 2 - Years 1984-2001

To replace the engine management control unit on the Jeep Cherokee, open the bonnet and access the engine compartment. The control unit is located directly under the windscreen on the driver's side and can be accessed by removing the windscreen washer reservoir. This will be removed by loosening its securing screws: after removal, disconnect all connectors attached to the control unit and slide it out of its housing. After removal, replace it with a new spare part and reinstall the reservoir.
