Jeep Cherokee - Video tutorial

Model: Jeep Cherokee MK 3, KJ - Years 2002-2007
Part: Mass air flow sensor
Operation: Internal cleaning of the mass air flow sensor

The mass air flow meter is a flow meter that is mounted on many engines to measure the amount of air drawn in by the engine. Remove the mass air flow sensor from the air intake taking care not to drop the screws. Due to the delicate components that make up the sensor, clean the inside of the flowmeter with a light flow of air, or better still with a small aspirator to prevent the dust from penetrating more deeply. Clean the outside with a clean cloth soaked in a lightly deoxidizing liquid. Carefully reassemble the component by reconnecting the connector and check the correct operation of the instrument.
