To change the engine oil on a Kawasaki KLX 300, follow these steps. Start by placing the bike on a flat surface and ensure the engine is warm but not too hot. Locate the oil drain plug on the engine casing and remove it with an appropriate spanner.

Position a collection container under the oil drain plug to catch the used oil. Remove the oil filler cap located on top of the engine to facilitate drainage. Once the used oil has completely drained, reinstall the oil drain plug and ensure it is securely tightened.

Next, fill the engine with new engine oil through the oil filler cap until it reaches the recommended level indicated in the owner's manual. Finally, start the engine and check for any oil leaks.
