How the Parking Assist System Works on KG Mobility

Let's briefly discuss KG Mobility, which was formed from the acquisition of the Ssangyong Motor Company by the KG Group in 2022. Previously, the company was acquired by Daewoo and then by Mahindra. That said, let's see how the parking assistance system works on Ssangyong, still present on KG Mobility models. The system detects obstacles through a sensor system installed on the bumpers, alerting the driver with a warning beep. The parking assist system switch is located on the right side of the steering wheel and is marked with a "P". It activates when the vehicle moves forward or in reverse at a speed of 10 mph or lower. In this case, if an obstacle is detected within the sensor range, the warning line flashes: a constant sound alerts that the obstacle is within 50 cm. The rear camera system allows the driver to monitor the entire environment when the vehicle is in reverse.
