In a few simple steps, we will see how to disassemble and replace the knob of the automatic transmission lever of the Kia Sportage. First, we get into the cockpit and start by detaching the shift boot from the base; then we pull the knob upwards with force until it comes off and remove it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, we separate the boot from the shift knob, replacing the worn components with new ones; we reassemble the boot in order and then the knob on the shift lever, fixing the knob in a way that does not create play between it and the shift lever.
