To replace the battery in the key fob for a Kia Sportage 3, press the button to extract the emergency metal key. Insert the new battery of the same type, ensuring the correct polarity, then close the fob by pressing until the clips snap into place. Reinsert the mechanical key into its slot and check the proper functioning of the lock and unlock buttons.
