Removing the Gear Knob on a Kia Rio

Model: Kia Rio UB, MK 3 - Years 2011-2017

Remove the gear knob from the Kia Rio. Grip the knob with your hands and rotate it to the left (as if you were unscrewing anything), then pull it off the gear stick. To install the new knob: take the new knob and secure it onto the stick present on the centre tunnel until it is fully seated. Finally, test the movement of the stick on the centre tunnel to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. Remove the leather gaiter located at the bottom of the knob if you wish to replace it (use a plastic lever to detach the trim above the centre tunnel).
