How to Change the Oil on a Kia Sportage

Model: Kia Sportage QL, MK 4 - Years 2016-2022

For convenience during all stages of the engine oil change, lift the car on a workshop ramp or, alternatively, on suitable axle stands. First, remove the panel protecting the components located at the bottom of the vehicle. Once done, unscrew the bolt on the oil filter to allow the residual fluid to drain. Next, remove the entire filter. Move under the oil sump and unscrew the bolt here as well to let all the oil flow out. Refit the bolt and reposition the new filter. Complete the operation by adding the new engine oil.
