To replace the front brake pads on a KTM RC 390, loosen the bolts securing the brake caliper to its housing on the disc: once the bolts are loosened, detach the caliper and remove the pin that holds the pads. At this point, remove the old pads from inside the caliper and position the new ones: they can then be secured in the caliper, which can be reinstalled onto the disc.
