To replace the rear brake pads on a KTM 690, you need to open the rear brake caliper. To do this, tap the pin that secures the caliper to the disc, pushing it out from the opposite side. Once the pin is removed, the pads can be easily extracted from the caliper. Position the new pads so that the pin can pass through their holes and through the caliper's openings. When the pads are in the correct position, insert the pin and securely close the caliper.
