To replace the sprocket on the KTM EXC 300, you need to loosen the nut that secures the central pin and remove it; once the nut is removed, you can loosen the one that secures the rear wheel, which in turn must be taken out of its housing. This will reduce the tension on the chain, allowing you to slide the sprocket out of its housing. Insert the new one, securing it with the previously removed nut; then you can reattach the rear wheel and the other components that were removed.
