In this video, see how to install Bar-End mirrors on a KTM SMC-R, replacing the original ones. Loosen the nut at the base of the mirror, which is 13 mm. Remember that the thread on the left mirror is left-handed.

The 15 mm nut underneath is secured with thread lock, so it may give you some trouble when removing it; it is advisable to clean the thread well. Bar-end mirrors come in various shapes and sizes, and we do not recommend a specific model: you will surely find one you like for the model and price on major e-commerce sites.

We will also use thread lock to reattach the mirrors, as vibrations on a motorcycle can be a significant issue, and they may loosen over time. Generally, there is no right or left for these mirrors.

Remove the screw from the mount, place the mirror on it, turn the mirror towards the rider, and now you can insert the screw without overtightening.
