How to change the engine oil on a KTM 390?

To change the engine oil on a KTM 390, first ensure that the bike is on a flat and stable surface. Lift the bike using a centre stand or appropriate support.

Remove the oil drain plug located on the underside of the engine using a ratchet spanner. Position a container under the drain plug to collect the used oil as it flows out. Wait until all the old oil has completely drained.

Once the oil has been drained, replace the drain plug, tightening it securely to prevent leaks. Next, locate the oil filler cap, usually found at the top of the engine.

Remove it and use a funnel to pour in the new engine oil, ensuring you use the type and quantity recommended by the manufacturer. After adding the oil, re-tighten the filler cap and start the engine for a few minutes, then turn it off and check the oil level to ensure it is correct.

Finally, check for any leaks and ensure everything has been reassembled correctly. This will ensure the engine operates optimally and without issues.
