To replace the air filter on the Kymco AK 550, you need to remove the plastic panel located between the steering wheel and the fuel filler cap. To remove it, unscrew the two Torx screws found at its base and detach the upper panels. Once the plastic panel is removed, there will be another panel secured by five screws underneath. After these screws are removed, you will have access to the air filter, which can be pulled out of its housing and replaced. Finally, reassemble all the previously removed parts.
