To access the battery of the Kymco AK 550, remove the rivets securing the windscreen supports and the screws located beneath them. This will allow you to completely remove the windscreen; next, loosen the bolts securing the front fairing. These are located at the front, inside where the instrument panel is, and on the sides. At this point, the front fairing can be fully removed, granting access to the battery, which can then be replaced. After replacing the battery, reassemble all previously removed parts.
