Removing the airbag on a 2003 Lancia Ypsilon is simpler than you might think. You need a screwdriver to access the small hole found at the bottom of the steering column, on both the right and left sides. By unscrewing these two screws, the entire central steering group, which also contains the airbag, will come away. At this point, simply disconnect the electrical connectors, noting their positions or taking a photo for reference, and you're done. You can use the same method to reposition the new unit.
