How to Disable Keyless Entry on the Range Rover Sport

In this video, you will learn how to disable keyless entry on the Range Rover Sport; this can help prevent theft. With keyless entry, you just need to touch the handle while having the key on you or in your bag for the car to unlock and the mirror to open. To lock it, simply press the indentation on the handle, and the car will lock. Unfortunately, if the remote is left in an exposed location, potential thieves can hack the remote signal and steal your vehicle through the OBD port. There is a way to disable keyless entry; it will become a bit more cumbersome because you will need to use the remote and press the lock button to enter, but it might be worth it. You need to sit in the car without turning anything on, then press the headlight button three times and then the unlock button. To see if it worked, exit the car and try to open it with the keyless system, which will no longer function. Now, the only way to enter the car is the traditional method of unlocking it with the remote. To reactivate keyless entry, press the headlight button three times and then the lock button. Now you can activate and deactivate it at will.
