Land Rover Range Rover - Video tutorial

Model: Land Rover Range Rover MK 2 - Years 2012-2021
Part: Hand brake
Operation: How to disable keyless entry on the Range Rover Sport

In this video, we see how to disable keyless entry on the Range Rover Sport; this can help prevent theft. We know that with keyless entry, you just need to put your hand on the handle, with the key on you or in your bag, for the car to unlock and the mirror to unfold. To close it, just press the handle dimple and the car will lock. Unfortunately, if the remote is left in an exposed place, potential thieves can hack the remote signal and still steal your car through the EOBD port. There is a way to disable keyless entry; it will be a bit more cumbersome because you will have to take the remote in hand and press the lock button to enter, but it could be worth it. We will have to sit in the car, without turning anything on, then press the headlight button three times and then the unlock button. To see if it worked, we need to exit the car and try to open it with the keyless system, which will no longer work. Now the only way to enter the car is the traditional way of unlocking it with the remote. To re-enable keyless entry, we will need to press the headlight button three times and then the lock button, this time. So now we are able to activate and deactivate it as we please.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
