Replacing Front Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Lexus IS MK 2 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Brake rotors

It is good practice to replace the pads when you decide to replace the brake discs. To replace the discs, lift the vehicle, remove the front wheel, and then detach the caliper along with its bracket without removing the pads (previously replaced), by unscrewing the mounting bolts from the hub. Next, remove the old disc, clean the disc seat on the hub with a wire brush, and apply grease before installing the new disc after cleaning it of protective oil. Finally, refit the bracket with the caliper and the wheel.
