Resetting the oil light or service light on a 2008 Lexus IS after performing a service is a very simple and quick procedure. First, turn on the vehicle's instrument panel and then turn it off immediately.

Press the left button on the instrument panel while simultaneously turning the instrument panel back on. Keep the button pressed until the light goes out completely. When the light has gone out, release the button and turn off the vehicle, then restart it a second time.

This operation must only be performed after the service has been completed.
