Removing the Car Radio for iPod iPhone Interface Installation

Model: Mazda Cx7 MK 1 - Years 2006-2012

Using a small flathead screwdriver, detach the trim surrounding the two knobs of the car radio and the one with the aluminium edge of the central console that also supports the air vents.
Then, unscrew the 4 fixing screws of the car radio located at the corners and pull it out from its housing; connect one end of the wiring harness to the iPod device behind the car radio and pass the other end through the space between the two knobs; connect the iPod adapter to this end and position it in the space between the two knobs; finally, pass the cable with the connector for the iPod device through the stereo to place it in the glove compartment.
At this point, re-screw the 4 fixing screws, reattach the previously removed trims, and check the operation of the device.
