To install a dashcam in a Mazda CX-5, start by choosing the best position: usually behind the central rear-view mirror. Clean the windscreen thoroughly and attach the dashcam using the suction cup or included 3M adhesive.

Then connect the power cable. The simplest method is to use the cigarette lighter socket: run the cable along the edge of the headlining, then down the A-pillar, hiding it under the rubber seals for a clean finish.

Reach the 12V socket and connect the power. For a more 'professional' installation (hardwire), you can connect it to the fuse box with a specific kit, so the dashcam powers on with the ignition and can record in parking mode.

Finally, start the vehicle, check the camera's framing, and adjust the angle to cover the road ahead.
