How to Change the Fuel Filter on a Mazda 3

Learn how to remove and replace the fuel filter on a Mazda 3. Lift the car on a column lift (jack), locate the fuel filter near the rear shock absorber (under the plastic cover on the left side). Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing bolts located above the plastic cover where the fuel filter is situated. Once the plastic is removed, take out the fuel filter (replace it with a new one). Finally, refit the filter to the associated container (connect the hoses and cables) and tighten the appropriate bolts with the plastic cover.
