Replacing the battery in a Mazda remote key is a straightforward task that does not necessarily require professional assistance. First, extract the physical key from the remote; it is located at the top of the remote and can be removed by pressing the latch on the back. Inside the key slot, you will notice two notches where a flathead screwdriver can be inserted to pry open the remote cover. Once the cover is open, you will have access to a round cap that can be removed by hand. Inside this cap is the battery, which can then be replaced with a new one.
