It is often useful to have an interface to connect the mobile phone to the car stereo. To check the compatibility of the chosen interface, just hold down the "text" button on the front of the radio and the system version will be read on the display. Once this compatibility has been verified, we proceed with the installation. The gear knob is removed in order to then be able to remove the upper part of the car tunnel. The plastics under the steering wheel are then removed to access the radio from the side. The present bracket is also removed, in order to have the possibility to work without too many obstacles and to extract the radio without risk of breakage. The car radio is removed by releasing the tabs above and below the car radio. The interface cable is passed from the side of the tunnel, and is connected via the connector to the car radio. Correct operation is checked before reassembling the disassembled parts. At this point, the positioning of this appliance is left to the choice of the owner, according to his needs.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
