To replace the cabin air filter on a Mazda CX-9, first remove all items from the glove compartment. Next, unclip the fastener located on the outer side of the glove box. Now, press inward on the sides of the glove box to fully lower it. At this point, you will see the white filter box; remove the cover of the filter box and then take out the old filter from its housing.

Once the old filter is removed, replace it with the new one, positioning it according to the arrow on the filter itself (following the airflow direction).
