Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Model: Mazda 3 MK 2, BL - Years 2009-2013

The cabin air filter (this model actually comes with two) is located just behind the centre tunnel but can be accessed from the passenger side. Remove the plastic cover on the side of the centre tunnel from the passenger side to access the air intake. Unscrew the six screws securing the lid of the filter container, then remove it and extract the two cabin air filters. Ensure there are no dirt residues in the filter housing and insert the new ones (choose activated carbon filters if available) before reassembling the lid and cover.
